Does Koodo except SIM cards now? I believe they were supposed to start doing that. And will you be able to use an unlocked phone with them, such as the new iPhone 4, or are they still CDMA only?

Awesommeee! So does that mean, I could take any phone that uses a SIM card, and put it on their network, if it is unlocked?

You would need (as well) to check that phone you want to use is capable of operation on the correct frequency. As Koodo utilises Telus' 3G+ network you can check compatibility here. (http://www.telusmobility.com/en/BC/phones_and_devices/devicecompatibility.shtml)

Yes, Koodo now have access to the Bell/Telus AWS network (Koodo is owned by Telus)

So I'm guessing since Koodo has AWS sims, the iPhone 4/Hero/Desire or any other TELUS GSM phone will not work on it?

AWS (advanced wireless services) are equivalent to hspa+ ... which is the only GSM network that Telus has (their old network is CDMA) - the Bell/Telus/Koodo network are one and the same.

Wind has AWS as well, so does that mean i4 can work on it as well?

I know nothing about 'Wind' :) as they do not provide any service where I live and know even less about i4..... your question might best be answered if you define your definition of AWS (http://www.phonescoop.com/glossary/term.php?gid=324).

My definition is the same as yours. In fact you've cleared up my definition even better. :)

But since you don't seem to know about the two, then thanks for the definition update, I guess... :P
